Members Exhibition

Artists of the South East will be selling their works at the Port MacDonnell Community Centre this summer. The exhibition is open to all members of the South East Art Society, which will be running the event from 4th December 2022 to 28th January 2023, at the height of the tourist season.
The South East Art Society is keen to see all its members exhibit up to 5 works.
“With covid behind us, we can get back to encouraging local talent,” said president Vicky Thorpe. “New members are especially welcome to show off their work and hopefully make a dollar return for their efforts.”

Free Members’ Exhibition and Sale of work
Port MacDonnell Community Complex (PMCC)
4th December 2022 – 28th January 2023
* Late entry forms will NOT be accepted; the due date for all entry forms is COB, 5.00pm (SA time) on Friday 25th November 2022
* Entry is free for this exhibition. There will be no judging nor prize money of this exhibition
* Please choose titles and prices for your works carefully because these cannot be changed once your entry form has been received. The capacity to alter labels on walls after printing is not available at this venue. Whilst due care is taken to ensure that details are correct at the time of printing, no responsibility will be taken for any errors or alterations on the exhibit wall labels
* The South East Art Society Inc. reserves the right not to accept nor exhibit any particular art piece
* All artworks to be delivered to the Port MacDonnell Community Complex (PMCC) on Saturday 3rdDecember 2022 between 11.00am. and 1.00 p.m. for installation
* All artworks to be collected on Sunday 29th January 2023 between 11.00 a.m. and 3.00 p.m.
* All work must be the work of the artist who is a current financial member of SEAS* Artworks must not exceed 1.2m x 1.2m including the frame and must be able to be installed/dismantled by no more than two people
* A maximum of five entries will be permitted per artist
* Where a work has been sold and taken by the purchaser, a replacement work will be accepted at the PMCC and the President advised of the new work, title, price or valuation. The President will then advise staff at the PMCC.
* All work for sale will be subject to 20% commission to the Port MacDonnell Community Complex.
* All payments to artists will be facilitated online using direct debit by the Grant District Council; artists who sell work will be required to provide details of their financial institution to enable this process to occur.
* The sale price is the valuation of your work for insurance purposes as required by the Grant District Council.
* Transportation of artworks to and from the PMCC is the responsibility of the artist. Whilst all care is taken by SEAS and the PMCC, no liability will be accepted by the South East Art Society Inc. or the PMCC for the damage, loss or injury incurred during the transport to and from the exhibition location Please remember to attach labels to the back (or underneath) your artwork/s and on the outside on the bubble wrap to assist with identification for those who are installing this exhibition.
